Simply the worst. Not just the worst online rental service, or the worst online service, but the all-around worst-run company I have ever encountered, regardless of industry.

About 1/3 of the DVDs we received were broken, not to mention we got a number of unrequested titles or we got replacements on top of replacements of the same title. What’s worse is that in the very frequent case that a DVD is broken or unplayable, your entire queue is held up; Intelliflix refuses to correct the situation by sending out any titles you are owed. As a result, your queue gets backlogged severely.

Shipping times with Intelliflix are several days each way, because Intelliflix ships from out-of-state, whereas Netflix and Blockbuster use shipping locations close to where you live so it rarely takes more than a day each way in the mail. Blockbuster will also ship from stores if they have to.

Even if Intelliflix were the only online DVD rental service, it STILL isn’t even close to worth the trouble, cost, and hassle. And with Netflix and Blockbuster offering similar or cheaper plans, there is no reason to go with Intelliflix.

Finally, while Intelliflix boasts about having the most titles of any online rental service, that means little when so many of them are unavailable or aren’t carried at all. Yes, they do have 60,000+ titles in their database. But, many of those apparently are either in long wait queues, or apparently aren’t carried at all; there were dozens of movies we wanted to rent, but there was no option for putting them in your queue.

By contrast, Netflix and Blockbuster have almost as many titles and, while occasionally one might not be available right away, eventually you will get it. And while both Netflix and Blockbuster have a few titles in their databases that they don’t actually stock for whatever reason, those are few and far between.

But I ask anyone considering signing up for Intelliflix to simple Google “Intelliflix” or “Intelliflix review” and check out all the comments by ex-Intelliflix customers. Check out the Better Business Bureau and Ripoffreport.com. That should tell you all you need to know about the quality of Intelliflix’ service.

I wish I’ve read these comments before ordering an expensive $600 medicine cabinet for our bathroom remodel. I’ve received the wrong medicine cabinet with a crack in the mirror. It’s been 2 weeks and I’ve called 6 times and they’ve promised a replacement but haven’t sent any email as they promised for anything. While their price point is decent, their customer service and communication is poor. There’s many other plumbing sites that provides much better service. Don’t think you will save some money here. Just a watse of time and money at absolutehome.com or homedecor.

I was told item in stock shipping week to ten days, two weeks later it is out of stock maybe shipping in three. This one communication only after I threatend to contact my Credit Card Company. Now I suppose I will have to fight to get the charges off my card that they have already charged. Cheap prices? They can afford to be since they are using other peoples money and sending nothing.

A friend of mine had bought a log splitter for $1200. She then had found that same splitter online for less. When she had called to cancel her order she was told that they can’t do that but she could return it & be charged, that ridiculous 25% restocking fee. When she had tried to contact them she could never get through. So to make a long story short she has been completely unsuccessful in contacting them via phone or email. They still have her $1200, that they charge when the order is placed not when it has shipped, & she has never received the log splitter.

Homeclick stinks. After placing two orders that were promised at a certain time, I have nothing. Phone calls and e-mails remain unreturned. I’ll never buy from Homeclick again. They have my money and I have nothing - not even simple contact with them. I’d rather pay a higher price than endure this kind of aggravation. I have sent a letter to Homeclick’s Customer Service Manager, Mr. Brian Ruvolo to make him aware of the lack of customer service within his company. Done.

Watch out when selling on Half.com. Because they handle the transaction you cannot confirm payment. I sold a book and the seller accidently bought it twice. I authorized a refund, but it turned out the seller had not paid for either order. I shipped the book, as required by Half.com before being notified by half.com of non-payment. They then with about 7 hours notice deducted the refund amount from my bank account and failed to pay me for the book I shipped on their assurance that the transaction was confirmed.

I am now out the book, the refund and because fo the unauthorized and short notice deduction I had two checks bounce and owe overdraft fees at my bank.

To add insult to injury I have email Half.com twice and while I recieve confirmation that my email was recieved I have never received the promised reply (it has been over 9 days since my first email).

Disclaimer: We used to host with GoDaddy but got annoyed with their owner continually pushing George W. Bush’s politics on his customers, so we changed to Blue Host. We’re liking it so far. A little more expensive for domains, but much cheaper hosting, and much easier to use.

We shop at Hockey Giant a fair bit. It’s hard to get quality gear where we licve (rural Ohio), so these guys are good for us. Very easy and good price.
